The studio is a separate space from the main house, giving guests their own private retreat while still being close to everything the property and surrounding area have to offer. Georgia Boys Fish Camp is directly across the street, with fishing, boat rentals, pontoon rentals, and airboat tours available for an additional fee; please note that the boat on the property is strictly off-limits and is not available for guest use.

Guests staying in the Fisherman’s Studio have private access to the studio and its dedicated living and sleeping areas. Studio guests also have access to the shared backyard, shared laundry area, and shared propane grill. The backyard is a common outdoor space and may be shared with guests staying in the main house.

The studio has its own separate entrance, giving guests privacy while still allowing convenient access to the shared outdoor areas. The driveway and RV parking areas are also shared when the property is occupied by multiple groups.

Set in the laid-back community of Satsuma, this area is a great fit for guests looking to enjoy Old Florida, freshwater fishing, boating, and outdoor adventures. The property is directly across from Georgia Boys Fish Camp on Dunns Creek, where guests can find fishing supplies, boat access, and other fishing-related services.

Nature lovers can explore Dunns Creek State Park Blue Pond Entrance, with hiking, bicycling, fishing, paddling, picnicking, and wildlife viewing across more than 6,200 acres. The area also offers access to the St. Johns River and Crescent Lake waterways.

For a more casual outing, Gnarly Gar Marina and Bar offers waterfront seating, live music, events, and sunset views. Motorsport fans can also check out local racing and off-road activities in the Satsuma area.

A car is recommended for getting around Satsuma and exploring the surrounding area. The neighborhood is spread out, and many of the area's fishing spots, parks, marinas, restaurants, and outdoor attractions are easiest to reach by car.

Georgia Boys Fish Camp is just across Butler Drive, while Dunns Creek State Park, Palatka, Crescent Lake, and other nearby attractions are a short drive away. The area is primarily car-dependent, so guests should plan to drive to most activities and services.

Refund Policy

A 3.9% processing fee on refunds is non-refundable. Refunds will be the amount paid minus this fee, per Stripe's policy. This applies to direct booking and bookings made through select booking channels.

General Guidelines
●Pets: A pet fee of $100 applies per reservation for up to 2 pets. Bringing a pet without prior notification incurs an additional $100 fee, and we may end your stay early. No cats allowed. If your pet causes any damages, additional charges will incur to cover repair or cleaning costs.
●Garage Access: Not permitted due to liability. If applicable, garage doors must stay closed.
●Age Requirement: Primary guest must be 21+, with an adult over 21 present during the stay.
Food & Drink: No food or drink in bedrooms (closed water bottles allowed); extra cleaning fees for stains.
●No Smoking: Smoking of any kind is prohibited; $200 fine for violations. Additional charges will incur to cover repair or cleaning costs.
●Trash: Dispose of all trash in outside bins before departure.
●Damages: Report any damages within 24 hours of occurrence or immediately upon arrival. Failure to report damages could result in liability for repair or replacement costs.
●Dishes: Wash all dishes and run the dishwasher (if applicable) before leaving.
●Windows: Keep windows closed for security.
●Laundry: Avoid overloading machines; do not wash sandy items, and clean the dryer lint trap.
●Storage Closet: Keep this area closed and locked.
●Consumables: Leftover items are at your discretion; freshness is not guaranteed.
●Furniture: Do not rearrange.
●Parties & Events: Unauthorized parties are not allowed; violations will result in additional charges and immediate eviction.
●Only registered guests are permitted to stay at the property. If you would like to add extra guests beyond the number initially registered, please request approval before finalizing your booking. Any additional guests that exceed the maximum allowed at the property will incur an additional charge of $100 per person. This requires approval from us prior to booking.
●Illegal Activities: Will result in immediate eviction.
●Quiet Hours: 10pm to 7am. Please be respectful of neighbors.

To help protect both our guests and our homes, all reservations are required to complete the Joseph Ellen Guest Protection Program before check-in.

As part of the simple pre-arrival process, you'll:

●Complete a quick guest verification.
●Review and electronically sign the Joseph Ellen Rental Agreement.
●Choose one of the following protection options:
●Damage Waiver: A small non-refundable fee that provides coverage for eligible accidental damage during your stay. This is the most popular option and helps avoid unexpected costs from minor accidents.
●Security Deposit: A fully refundable security deposit hold that's released after checkout, provided no damage or policy violations are found.

We'll send you a secure guest portal link before your arrival to complete these quick steps. It only takes a few minutes and helps create a smoother, worry-free experience for everyone.
