About this property
The Laura is a privately owned 1914 historic home in Springfield, Jacksonville's most historic neighborhood. The entire building is yours. Two designer-furnished floors, two fully equipped kitchens, four bathrooms, and four outdoor spaces, all private, all yours. Sleeps up to 16. One block from Main Street. 5 to 10 min from EverBank and VyStar Arena by rideshare or pedicab. Free parking. Pets welcome. Smaller group? We also list each floor as its own private 2-bedroom rental.
The space
The Laura is the entire building. Both floors, both kitchens, all four bathrooms, every outdoor space, exclusively yours. No other guests in the building at any time.
The first floor has a wide, high-ceilinged living room anchored by an original double fireplace surround, one of the most striking architectural features of this 1914 home.
Oversized sofas, a deep blue Persian rug, and an orb chandelier. The kitchen opens to the living area: stainless appliances, a quartz island with four bar stools, a drip coffee maker and Keurig. King primary suite with clawfoot soaking tub, walk-in marble shower, and private en suite through French glass doors. Two full beds in the guest bedroom.
Second full marble bathroom. Stacked washer and dryer. Smart TVs throughout.
The second floor has a different character. Natural light pours through four tall windows at treetop level. The living room is airy and open, with a large dark sectional, blue Persian rug,
and orb chandelier. The kitchen has a peninsula counter with bar seating, a separate dining table, and a patterned Moroccan tile floor in soft blue and white. A wall-mounted mug rack,
drip coffee maker, and Keurig. King primary suite with clawfoot soaking tub, walk-in marble shower behind French glass doors. Two full beds in the guest bedroom with yellow throws
and geometric navy curtains. Second full marble bathroom. Stacked washer and dryer. Smart TVs throughout.
Combined: 2 kings, 4 full beds, 2 rollaways and 2 air mattresses always set up and ready. 4 bathrooms. 2 clawfoot tubs. 2 kitchens. 2 washer and dryer sets.
Outside: first-floor front porch with swing, full-width second-floor front porch with rocking chairs and hanging swing at treetop level, first-floor private side deck with propane grill,
upper second-floor deck with propane grill, and ample front and side yard. A dedicated cruiser bike is available for the neighborhood.
Guest access
Your group has full private access to the entire building. Both floors each have their own separate front door. There is no interior staircase connecting the two floors, so guests move
between floors through the exterior front porch. Both floors, all four bathrooms, both kitchens, both decks, both porches, and the front and side yards are exclusively yours.
Self check-in via smart lock on both doors. Pets welcome throughout.
The neighborhood
Springfield is one of Jacksonville's most historic neighborhoods, and The Laura sits at the heart of it. This home was built in 1914, one block from Main Street where you have some of the best eating and drinking in the city. Locals drive from across Jacksonville specifically to come here.
1748 Bakehouse does seasonal pies and from-scratch sandwiches made with local ingredients. Uptown Kitchen and Bar runs all-day brunch and does it well. Othello is the standout: Spanish and Middle Eastern small plates from a chef trained at Gramercy Tavern in New York. For a group, book ahead. Strings Sports Brewery is walking distance, local beer and every game on. Dreamette has been serving legendary soft serve since 1948.
Every November PorchFest brings 20 or more bands to the historic front porches of Springfield and thousands into the streets. The Laura is steps from the festival route, with both porches in the middle of it.

Amenities
37 includedWe had a really great stay here. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and comfortable, and the space had a calm, welcoming vibe. The layout was perfect for our group. Having two separate apartments gave everyone room to relax while still making it easy to spend time together, it made a big difference in how enjoyable the trip felt.We were in town for a concert, and the location couldn’t have worked better. Getting around was simple, and we loved exploring Springfield a bit. The historic homes and local character made it feel like a unique place to stay.Overall, it was one of those stays where everything just worked. We’d definitely come back.
