🚗 Parking Information
-Your reservation includes one parking space in our rear parking lot, located to the left of the hotel. Please note that the spaces are suitable for small vehicles only. Large SUVs and trucks will not fit.
-Parking Tag: Display the provided parking tag in your vehicle's window throughout your stay. Vehicles without a properly displayed tag may be subject to towing.
-At Checkout: Please leave the parking tag inside your room when checking out. A $100 replacement fee will apply if the tag is not returned.
-Additional Parking: If our lot is full, additional parking may be available at the Historic Downtown Parking Facility.
-Guests are responsible for finding and paying for alternative parking if the designated lot is full. During busy seasons, especially Nights of Lights, parking throughout downtown St. Augustine can be extremely limited. We recommend planning ahead and allowing extra time to find parking.

Guests will have exclusive access to the Magnolia Room and its private ensuite bathroom, along with shared access to the inn's common spaces, including the lobby and dining area.

Southern Wind Inn has nine additional guest rooms available for booking. Each room is privately rented, so you may encounter other guests in the shared areas during your stay.

Parking Reminder: Assigned spaces in the rear parking lot cannot accommodate oversized vehicles, including large SUVs and trucks. If you're arriving in a larger vehicle, we recommend using nearby public parking facilities or available street parking.

The historic downtown area is highly walkable, with many popular attractions, restaurants, and shops nearby. For destinations farther away, guests can conveniently use a personal vehicle or Uber.

Please note that Southern Wind Inn is not a bed and breakfast. However, we are happy to provide a few complimentary refreshments during your stay:
-Complimentary coffee available daily.
-Light pastries provided on Saturdays and Sundays.

Historic Property

Southern Wind Inn was built in 1916, and some of its original features come with the character of an older building, including thinner walls and occasional noise between rooms. For your comfort, each guest room is equipped with a plug-in sound machine to help create a more restful environment.

Your comfort and safety are important to us. Every stay is followed by a thorough cleaning to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Early Arrivals & Late Checkouts

Early check-in and late checkout requests are subject to availability and must be approved in advance.

Applicable fees:

1–2 hours: $100

2–3 hours: $200

Please note that early arrivals and late departures are not guaranteed due to our cleaning schedule and incoming reservations. We recommend requesting approval ahead of time.

Refund Policy

A 3.9% payment processing fee is non-refundable on refunds. Any applicable refund will be issued for the amount paid, less this processing fee, in accordance with Stripe's policy. This applies to direct bookings and reservations made through select booking channels.

General House Rules

-To help maintain a comfortable and enjoyable environment for everyone, please observe the following guidelines:
-No Pets: Pets are not permitted at this property.
-Age Requirement: The primary guest must be at least 21 years old, and an adult aged 21 or older must be present throughout the stay.
-Food & Drinks: Please do not bring food or drinks into the bedrooms. Closed water bottles are permitted. Additional cleaning fees may apply for food or drink stains.
-No Smoking: Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited. A $200 fine will apply for violations, with additional charges for any necessary cleaning or repairs.
-Trash: Please dispose of all trash in the designated outdoor bins before departure.
-Damages: Report any existing damage upon arrival and any new damage immediately or within 24 hours of occurrence. Guests may be responsible for repair or replacement costs if damage is not reported.
-Dishes: Please wash all dishes and run the dishwasher, if applicable, before checkout.
-Windows: Keep all windows closed for security.
-Storage Closet: The storage closet must remain closed and locked at all times.
-Consumables: Any leftover food or supplies are available at your discretion. However, freshness and suitability for use cannot be guaranteed.
-Furniture: Please do not move or rearrange furniture.
-Parties & Events: Unauthorized gatherings, parties, and events are prohibited. Violations may result in additional charges and immediate eviction.
-Registered Guests Only: Only guests included in the reservation may stay at the property. Any requests to add guests must be approved in advance. Additional approved guests beyond the original registration will incur a $100 per-person charge. The property's maximum occupancy must never be exceeded.
-Illegal Activities: Any illegal activity on the premises will result in immediate eviction.
-Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. Please be considerate of other guests and nearby neighbors.

Joseph Ellen Guest Protection Program

We believe your vacation should be about making memories, not worrying about unexpected accidents or damage. That's why all reservations are required to complete the Joseph Ellen Guest Protection Program before check-in.

As part of the simple pre-arrival process, you'll be asked to:
-Complete a quick guest verification.
-Review and electronically sign the Joseph Ellen Rental Agreement.

Select one of the following protection options:

Option 1: Damage Waiver

A small, non-refundable fee that provides coverage for eligible accidental damage during your stay. This option is popular with guests because it helps protect against unexpected expenses resulting from covered minor accidents.

Option 2: Security Deposit

A fully refundable security deposit hold that will be released after checkout, provided no damage or policy violations are identified.

Before your arrival, we'll send you a secure guest portal link where you can complete these steps. The process only takes a few minutes and helps ensure a smooth and worry-free experience for everyone.
