Beach Family

Classic Florida coastal vacations featuring sun, sand, private pools, and plenty of space for everyone to make memories.

The experience

Everything you need for the perfect family getaway.

Beach Family

You're looking for the classic Florida beach vacation — days spent building sandcastles, afternoons lounging by a private pool, and evenings with a family BBQ on the patio. Whether you're traveling as an immediate family or bringing the grandparents along, space and convenience come first.

The Beaches — Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach — share a wide, hard-packed beach that handles bikes, wagons and long morning walks. The Jacksonville Beach Pier is free to walk, and Fletcher Park just north of it has restrooms and showers.

Stays our families love

  • Poolside Palms — 4 bedrooms on a single level, a private pool (heated in select months), a hot tub and a backyard; sleeps 13.
  • Somewhere To Beach — 3 bedrooms, a private pool, a game room with a pool table, and beach essentials.
  • Salt Water Retreat — 4 bedrooms, a private pool, a backyard and golf-cart access (see the listing for terms).

Planning the days? Read Family Fun on the First Coast and our coastal packing guide.

  • Space to Spread Out: We curate 3 to 4 bedroom stays so parents and kids have their own retreats.

  • Pet-Friendly Options: Don't leave your furry family members behind. Most of these beach stays allow pets, and several have a backyard — check each stay's pet policy and fee before you book.

  • Single-Level Living: Several of these stays are single-level — easy with toddlers, and easy for grandparents too.

Expert booking advice

When to Book

Beach Family stays are in highest demand during June–August and March (Spring Break), and rental prices peak in June and July. To book a stay with a private pool near the beach for those weeks, book as soon as your dates are set.

Plan Around the Heat

Summer afternoons run hot and humid, and afternoon thunderstorms are common from June through September — they typically pass in 30–45 minutes. Plan the beach for the morning and early evening, and let midday belong to the pool. More in Summer vs. Winter on the First Coast.

Getting Here

Most families drive to the coast. Every stay pinned here lists free parking on the premises — check the listing for how many cars fit.
